COOKIE POLICY FOR THE SWEETLY E-SHOP

The present Cookie Policy aims to inform you clearly and transparently how „D-A“ Ltd. (EIK: 831048499, registered office: Sofia 1336, Lyulin 5 residential complex, bl. 509, entrance V, floor 6, apt. 40) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the website www.sweetly.bg.
The document has been prepared in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications (ePrivacy), and the Electronic Commerce Act (ECA) of the Republic of Bulgaria.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone) when you visit it. They store information about your behaviour and preferences (for example, items added to your shopping basket, login status, etc.), which makes using the site easier and helps us to improve it.

2. What types of cookies do we use and on what legal basis?

The cookies used by our online shop are divided into four main categories. In accordance with the practice of the EU Court of Justice (Planet49 case) and the requirements of GDPR, we do not place cookies on your device without your prior, explicit, and active consent, with the exception of those that are strictly necessary.
Although Article 4 of the Bulgarian Electronic Commerce Act (ECA) allows the use of cookies with an opt-out option, the GDPR has direct effect and requires the stricter standard of active consent (opt-in), which we implement.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are absolutely essential for our online shop to function correctly. Without them, you cannot use basic functions such as logging into your customer account, adding sweeteners to your shopping basket, or securely completing your order.
• Legal basis: These cookies are based on the necessity of providing a service that you have explicitly requested (e.g., order processing). Your prior consent is not required for them, and they cannot be disabled from our panel.

B. Functional cookies

These cookies allow the site to remember your preferences (such as language or region) and offer you improved, personalised features.
Legal basis: They are activated only after your explicit consent.

Analytical / Statistical cookies

They collect anonymous information about how visitors interact with our site (for example, through Google Analytics). They help us understand which products (e.g. Sweetly Stevia or Sweetly Fit) are viewed the most, how much time users spend on the site, and whether they encounter navigation difficulties.
Legal basis: They require your prior express consent before they start collecting data.

Marketing/Advertising cookies

They are used to track users across different websites. The aim is to show you relevant ads for Sweetly's products on other platforms (e.g. Facebook Pixel or Google Ads) and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
• Legal basis: These cookies require prior and unequivocal consent. Pre-ticked boxes or „implied consent“ by continuing to browse are not valid and are not applied on our website.

3. Third-party cookies and data transfer

Some of the analytical and marketing cookies are set by external providers (third parties) such as Google LLC or Meta Platforms. When you consent to these categories, it is possible that some data (such as IP address or device identifier) may be processed on their servers, which may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We guarantee that these providers implement appropriate security mechanisms in compliance with GDPR.

4. Storage periods

The period for which cookies are stored on your device depends on their type:
• Session cookies: These are automatically deleted the moment you close your web browser (e.g. cookies that keep your shopping cart active during a session).
• Persistent cookies: These remain on your device for a predetermined period (e.g., the cookie that remembers whether you accepted or rejected the cookie banner is usually kept for 6 or 12 months so we don't ask you every time you log in). The precise duration of each cookie is described in the cookie settings panel on the website.

5. How to manage and withdraw your consent?

You have full control over which cookies you accept. The button to refuse non-essential cookies is just as visible and accessible as the button to accept them.
• Website Management: You can change your preferences or withdraw your consent at any time via the [Cookie Settings] link located at the bottom of the footer on every page. Withdrawal is as easy as giving initial consent.
• Browser management: You can also set up your browser to block or delete cookies. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies through your browser settings, the online shop will not function correctly and you will not be able to finalise your orders.
